Hello! I’m Angelica.

Hi, I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified EMDR Therapist, proud Latina, mom to a playground enthusiast, and collector of plants and random facts. I support women and BIPOC professionals who are ready to explore how their past might be showing up in the present - so they can reconnect with their worth and step into the fullness of who they are.

I’ve been practicing in Washington State since 2010 and have had the privilege of working with people across all ages (kids, teens, and adults), from a wide range of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. My approach is holistic, rooted in curiosity, compassion, and helping clients better understand themselves and their relationships.

In my years working in community mental health, I witnessed the impact of complex trauma on teens trying to make sense of their world. And I’ve seen how, as adults, those same early experiences can quietly shape how we show up - in work, in relationships, and with ourselves. Through EMDR therapy, I help clients untangle the past so they can move forward with more clarity, confidence, and peace.

Starting therapy can feel intimidating - I get that. But it’s also one of the most powerful ways to invest in your healing and growth. I’d be honored to walk alongside you on this journey.

HEre’s what I believe about therapy:

This isn't about becoming someone "different."

Therapy is a neutral space where you can figure yourself out—giving you a chance to reflect, discover your strengths, and really get to know yourself in a deeper way.

The best investment you can make is in yourself.

Taking the leap to start counseling can be a scary, but it is one of the most beneficial ways a person can invest in yourself. We will work together to address the things that are holding you back from living your life fully. You will be the driving force, I will guide you through the change.

We can have fun along the way.

Therapy won’t always be about diving into heavy topics; it can also be a space to lighten up, share a few laughs, celebrate your wins, and explore the brighter side of life. Embracing humor in therapy adds a refreshing balance to the journey of self-discovery and growth.

I want you to know:

A bit more about who I am:

I am a Millennial Latina - granddaughter of Mexican immigrants, daughter of Chicanos.

I’ve spent most of my life navigating the in-between. Being a white-presenting Latina often meant not feeling ‘brown enough’ in my own community, and never quite ‘white enough’ in predominantly White spaces. That space in the middle often left me feeling unseen, unheard, and unsure of where I truly fit.

But over time, I began to reclaim my identity - not by choosing one side, but by embracing the both/and. I’ve learned to take up space in ways that feel true to me, honoring the nuance, strength, and resilience that come from living in that in-between.

Through music, creativity, and the art of listening, I found a place of belonging. And it’s what led me to this work. I became a mental health therapist to walk alongside other Women of Color and Millennials on their healing journey - because our stories, our voices, and our well-being matter.

my guiding principles for therapy

  • GROWTH

I am dedicated to staying current in providing you with the best support by seeking ongoing training, consultation, and supervision. I also prioritize my own self-care to avoid burnout and ensure I can fully be there for you.

  • RELATIONAL

I'll do my best to ensure you're comfortable in our therapeutic relationship. At times, I'll share my own life examples (when relevant and appropriate) so you know you're not alone and that there's no judgment here. Your feedback is always welcome as we work together.

  • AUTHENTICITY

I value showing up and being open, honest, and transparent. Transparency in our working relationship means you’ll always know what I’m thinking and why I’m doing something. You’ll have a genuine space where you can show up and express anything (Yes, even swearing!)

  • INCLUSIVITY

I welcome women from all communities, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, trauma survivors, those in recovery, healthcare workers, professionals, executives, and neurodivergent individuals. Together, we'll explore how culture, power, and privilege shape your experiences. Your active collaboration in your therapy is encouraged and highly valued.

Are we a good fit?

We’re a good fit if…

You’re open to being challenged and hearing honest feedback

You’re open to expressing your emotions as they organically come up in session.

We’re not a good fit if…

You’re unsure if you want to explore and address the root of your concerns

You aren’t really looking for OR open to feedback of things to do differently

You’re looking for stoic approach or staunch professionalism from your therapist
