Terms & Conditions

Last updated July 17, 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the website located at https://www.eastsideemdrtherapy.com (the "Site"), operated by Eastside EMDR PLLC, doing business as Eastside EMDR Therapy ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our Site, scheduling a consultation, or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services.

1. Use of This Website

This Site is provided for general informational purposes about our practice and services. It is not intended to provide medical or mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it does not create a therapist-client relationship. A therapist-client relationship is only formed once you have completed our intake process and signed the required clinical consent and intake documents.

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Site or schedule services, or be the parent/guardian of a minor scheduling on their behalf, where applicable.

2. Not for Emergency Use

This Site and our services are not intended for use in a medical or mental health emergency. If you are experiencing a crisis, having thoughts of harming yourself or others, or require immediate assistance, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.

3. Scheduling, Fees & Cancellation Policy

  • A free 20-minute consultation may be scheduled through our website or client portal to determine fit before beginning services.

  • Session fees vary by service type; current fees are available on our Investment page or provided directly upon request.

  • Payment is due at the time of service and may be made via debit, credit, or HSA/FSA card.

  • Cancellation & No-Show Policy: Sessions canceled with less than 48 hours' notice, and no-shows, will be charged the full session fee.

  • For clients without insurance or not using insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges in writing before your service, in accordance with the No Surprises Act.

  • We do not accept insurance directly but can provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement, and we partner with Mentaya to assist with that process.

4. Telehealth Services

Virtual therapy sessions are provided using HIPAA-compliant technology. By participating in virtual sessions, you acknowledge that:

  • Telehealth involves the use of electronic communication and carries inherent risks, including but not limited to interruptions, unauthorized access, or technical failures.

  • Washington law requires that therapy occur where the client is physically located at the time of service. Virtual services are available only to individuals physically located in Washington State at the time of the session.

  • You are responsible for ensuring a private, secure location and stable internet connection for virtual sessions.

5. Professional Consultation & Supervision Services

Clinical consultation and supervision services offered to other licensed or pre-licensed therapists are separate from individual therapy services and are governed by a separate consultation/supervision agreement. Nothing in these Terms should be construed as forming a therapist-client relationship in the context of professional consultation services.

We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party sites or services. Use of those services is subject to their own respective terms and policies.

8. Disclaimers
